Caregiver Programs
Canada is now accepting applications to its two new caregiver immigration pilots!
The Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot are the newly launched 5-year pilot programs that let qualified caregivers and their family members come to Canada with the goal of becoming permanent residents. You may be able to apply for permanent residence through one of these pilots if you have a job offer or have experience working in Canada as a caregiver.
Through this new program, caregivers will benefit from:
· Occupation-specific work permit rather than employer-specific to allow fast change of employers when necessary.
· A clear transition from temporary to permanent resident status to ensure that once caregivers have met the work experience requirement they will be able to become permanent resident quickly.
· Your family members can come with you in Canada
It is a big opportunity for temporary foreign workers transition to permanent residence. Candidates with work experience in the above occupations must also meet the following eligibility requirements in order to be considered for Canadian permanent residence under the Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot programs.
